EXILE, S/mileage take top honors at 52nd Japan Record Awards

The 52nd Japan Record Awards were presented on December 30 at the New National Theatre, Tokyo. For the third consecutive year, EXILE took home the top prize (the Japan Record Award), thanks to their song "I Wish For You." They are only the second artist to win the award for three straight years, after Ayumi Hamasaki in 2001-2003.

Winners announced for the 52nd Japan Record Awards

The winners for the 52nd Japan Record Awards have been announced. Ikimono Gakari's "Hajimari no Uta" has been chosen as Best Album, while Masahiko Kondo was named Best Singer.
